Not cool enough for "Drinking Liberally"?!?

I didn't know it was possible to be snubbed by liberals, but guess what folks, it is. I have now attempted three times to be a part of Drinking Liberally-Denver and three times have been snubbed by the leader. Apparently being liberal doesn't mean being friendly or inclusive. Sad.

I'm putting them on notice...drop the judgmental act or you might as well vote Republican.

I have run into many a self-proclaimed liberal with a very narrow mind. However, regarding DL-From what I hear you aren't missing much except some youngsters who are a bit too unripe. I have put them on notice.

I find this post interesting because I signed up for the DL email list at the Highlands Street Fair and once again online, and never received any emails. While I've threatened to go to DL events, I've never actually made it to one.

Glad to hear it's not just me...and it sounds like it's not worth going back. Let me know if you run across anything similar without the drippy personalities.

ChristianLiberalChic, I, too, would be interested to know how you were "snubbed." Everytime I've been to DL, the regulars have been friendly and the atmosphere has been laid-back.

DenverHotPants, the regulars at DL may not be high-powered political operatives. But a lot stop by, including many national and state-level candidates. DL doesn't replace canvassing and phone banking. It's just a place to have a beer and talk politics and policy.
