Meaning cork in French, the bouchon is larger with a washed rind.
Poitou is a region as well as a cheese producer. The cheese is a crisp but not-too-strong goat.

re: Cheese puffs. I am going to suggest there must be actual cheese in a product to qualify for cheese of the week. That orange powdery stuff- I am pretty certain it is dairy free.
