Colorado To-Do List Motherload

DHP is officially on summer vacation. I went looking for free stuff to do in our beautiful state and found the official Colorado Events Guide. I am very sorry that I will be missing Mike's Headless Chicken Days next weekend in Fruita, but there are plenty of other bizzaro and fun events occuring throughout the summer. I mean, who knew that Lafayette has a wine festival? In any event, if you see something you want to do, let me know. I'm on the pro-leisure tour this summer.

I can't find any info on their website but a wine river tour was listed in our Denver Zoo membership newsletter.

This is a nice beginning of a list. Been researching some of this myself as a person who loves festivals, the hokier the better. Just to remind folks the Boulder Creek Festival - consistently voted best Boulder event - is Memorial Day Weekend, beginning Saturday. I will be volunteering on Saturday selling ducks then listening to my faves, the Indulgers play on Saturday night. Additionally, I am a big fan of Kutandara, and have taken a Marimba class with them. http://www.bouldercreekevents.com/BCFPerfSched.html. If you have kids and want to come to the festival I can probably score you some free tix to the rides, but let me know. Also, every Friday in Louisville is the Louisville Street Faire. I volunteer at the event, and am allowed to hook up my friends with free beer. http://www.louisvilledba.com/street_faire.htm. So if you are a festavarian, come join.
