A few weeks ago I saw this on MSNBC and signed up. GreenDimes. It is a service that rids you of your junk mail. Everyday, when my mailbox is filled with unwanted catalogs, coupons, etc. I log in, add them to the list, and they remove me. All for a one-time $15 fee. I love it!

If anyone would like the DIY version, I can email you the list of mailhouses where you send a form letter requesting removal.
That is way too much work. Which is why I paid these guys $15 to do it for me.
But in case you did want to do it yourself, here is the info that IC posted lat year. (or use search this blog for "junk mail")
