Here's my new OXO food mill.
What could be better than grinding up apples, peels and cores to can (oh, don't start me on that dated word & my encounters with it this summer) applesauce this fall? Leaving behind the seeds, stringy peel parts and hopefully some stem pieces, many rotations produced Batch #1 of applesauce. 2 gallons down, 6 to go.
I could do this, you know, for real. This is who I was meant to be. Too bad I work.
And, it's ready to borrow at the BB&B.

My mother just told me she got me one of these for Christmas ("They were 2 for 1, and I had to have one! So now you'll have one!) She says they are also great for mashed taters...yum!
