belated post: anniversary

jeepboy & I celebrated the 4th anniversary of our first date this weekend. shitsngrins does not think this is possible as she was "27" when we met and she couldn't be a day over "28" now. at the time, online dating was mocked and/or feared by most "normal" people. now jb & i are like the proof behind the urban legend. these days it seems there are more tv commercials for online dating sites than for beer. i guess that means it is now "normal".

a strong, independent woman who i admire recently shared she feels the need to make more "normal" life choices. my question to her, what is so great about being "normal"? In behavior, normal means not deviating very much from the average. 50% of marriages end in Divorce. I guess that makes being divorced "normal"? (Fun Facts: Some studies have shown that 27% of Born Again Christians are divorced with 90% of those divorces occurring after they were "saved". Same survey: only 21% of Athiest are divorced. 21% for Lutherans & Catholics, too.)

On a lighter note, take this how normal are you quiz? cd2e is 55% normal. Whatever that means! Update: Jeepboy is also 55% normal. No wonder we are a perfect match! LOL.

Other Surf: New clever dating concept: airtroductions as seen on Lisa Loeb's TV show, #1 Single and another funny link: Anti-Drug Program List Singles Chat Line.

HAHAHAHAHAHA

I'm 30% normal!!! How TRUE is that?!?

It says, "You sure do march to your own beat...
But you're so weird, people wonder if it's a beat at all
You think on a totally different wavelength
And it's often a chore to get people to understand you"

Well, here's a shocker, I hit the 65% mark.

"Otherwise known as the normal amount of normal
You're like most people most of the time
But you've got those quirks that make you endearing
You're unique, yes... but not frighteningly so!"

Now I'M wondering what's wrong with me that I'm so normal. Too bad I couldn't identify what the non-normal response was to most of the questions.
