Republican Asshole Section @ CSNY

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young at Red Rocks last night was FABULOUS! STELLAR! EXCELLENT! Old songs, new songs. Solos by each of the 4 artist. Really great.

But let me take a minute to tell you about the really not great part. Somehow JeepBoy & I ended up in the Republican Asshole section. (All Reserved Seating Show at Red Rocks!) The response to our "Fuck Bush" shirt being the first red- pun intended- flag. (When friends came to visit one neighbor pointed at us behind a hidden hand & whispered "we are not with them".)

I am not sure if they are only familiar with "Our House" & "Teach Your Children" from the easy listening radio station (I'm guessing that was the case for the Jr Leaguer who didn't recognize the smell of weed). Or if they have just been drinking the Beige-oisie koolaid too long. After sitting through several songs in protest of protest songs, they just couldn't handle the current war video during "Find the Cost of Freedom " or the singalong to "Let's Impeach the President" so they packed up the W-stickered Suburban and left. (Not before CD2E had already had to tell one to "Go back to Highlands Ranch" to the giggles of the middle school teachers getting stoned a few rows down.)

JB did remember his camera phone so there are more pictures & stories to come.
