Gov Debate Recap

Let's start with the best part of the Debate: Stephanopoulos.

The good: Ritter and Both Ways Bob are very different. In this new middle ground world, sometimes it's hard to tell the democrats from the republicans but not here. Bob is an evil, hateful ass.

The bad: Ritter rambles a bit. He is a smart guy which, sadly, doesn't always play out well with the voting public.

...and just like when watching the actual debate, I am bored with the recap before it is even done. The "good" news is that I bet most voters didn't even start to watch it.

If you would like a real recap, check this one out on colorado confidential. A sample to entice you to drill thru: "George’s first question is about school shootings. Democratic candidate Bill Ritter rambles on about a target heart magnomometer or something. Two minutes into the debate and the viewing audience is already more confused than if they were watching Turkish Wheel of Fortune. ... George: “What specific measure you would do now for school safety?” Beauprez says that you have to make an effort to be a leader and take responsibility. George is already clearly frustrated at Beauprez’s insistence on answering every question as though he is reading something out of a fortune cookie. …"

WOW. These are our choices for leader of the state? Ick. (Nice re-cap article, by the way.)

This was not Ritter's best work, but I do think he is a decent guy.
