Cheese of the Week

Well, really, a cheese recipe:

Slice a red and green apple thinly. Alternate on a baking sheet. Lay on slices of trimmed brie (yes, it needs to be brie--preferably triple creme, and yes, it needs to be trimmed--I tried untrimmed Camembert to non-primo effect). Dust with fresh ground pepper and sprinkle on a fresh herb of your choice. Broil until cheese melts.

Down with some good bread, and wine.
Dinner.
Voila!

What? 10:33 is not in the last 10 minutes of the hour?!

Okay, I worked all day today, and I have to say, I feel like I got less done than on some days where I work very little. I have been inspired by your idea, but it hasn't helped me complete everything this week. Yet.

Buenos Aires might get its whole own post...

Udi's catering makes this very sandwich, but toasts it first then adds arugula. It is served on some kind of walnut and fruit bread with a wasabi spread. Yum, yum, yummy.

Nevermind the time. I've been working my arse off this week - I hate it. But I'm chipping away at the Mountain of Papers.

However, on the food front, a quick peruse through my newest PBS guide indicates that there may not be 4 hours of cooking shows on Saturday mornings this month until March 25th. Unless whoever wrote the schedule just forgot to put them all in....

I will be checking the online schedule for further details. Stay tuned.
