Time Zone Hell

This week I am divided between CT (sitting in an airport in TX right now) and PT (heading to California). I keep my computer and calendar in ET and my watch on MT. I am very good at ET to MT. These other timezones are making me freaking crazy. Can't wait to head home on Friday. BTW, they are changing all the Daylight Savings stuff this year. Just to make us all crazy & for some Job Security for IT geeks. (It was part of the energy bill- but I am sticking with the crazy & Job Security position. I don't trust anything that is part of an energy bill from Shrub's crowd.)

I think TX might have its own crazy time zone. Sorry you are stuck there. Please bring back good wine from the CA time zone.

PS . . . DHP just found out that she is going to be an aunt!? OMG another child to corrupt, how fun. I'm sure I'll never be allowed near the child if my brother has any recollection of his upbringing.

Congrats on becoming an Aunt. I am sure that CreamyCrafter will give you a good reference for your baby whisper skills.

I don't think Homeland Security allows you to bring wine on planes anymore. Don't you feel safer b/c I can't bring back any wine from my Cali trip?

I think you can pack wine in your checked luggage - it won't explode in the altitude, right? In Asheville NC, they let you bring it if you buy it in the airport...of course, that's NC :)

DHP - the aunt thing is pretty cool - the kid loves you and have have no real responsibility...you can blame the corruption on your lack of parenting knowledge & they usually buy it. Congrats!

Checked Luggage? You crack me up.

I've been well-trained--do I get a gold star for taking an overhead compartment-sized suitcase TO and FROM Russia?

Granted, I checked on the way back--had to bring home the vodka for the Crafters.

Woo hoo!! Russian Vodka. Thank you InfoChef!

It does not surprise me that you didn't check going to Russia. I have seen you take a purse backpack, a pile of magazines, and a beach towel worn as a wrap around skirt to Mexico.

Wow - I must learn from the great masters. I can't travel for a weekend without a checked bag. Too many shoes.

Russian vodka, eh? Sounds like some most excellent bloody mary's are in store?

No mixed drinks. This is the real stuff. Goes down smooth. Maybe along with a virgin mary as a chaser.

Oh my...I might have to arrive early for that!!! I hope Creamy Crafter (hostess?) has cots ready for recovery time...
