I’m so offended, and that’s hard to do

Today and Army Sergeant intimated that the Tillman family cannot let go of Pat Tillman’s death because they don’t believe in an afterlife. Though I can’t find it on Amazon.com, I know there is a book out there on a critique of the uprising of the teaching of Christian belief in the military. I’ve seen the book at the capitol so I know it exists, and a local liberal funder is hoping to make it movie. In any event, this turn of events in appalling. I think questioning our government’s propaganda is a basic tenant of being an American. For this comment, I’m surely under investigation right now. Good thing I’m stealing internet access from my neighbor.

In other idiotic news, a soldier questioned why flags are flown at half-staff for the VT students and not for dead soldiers. Uh, maybe because going to class at an American university is not anticipated as a dangerous activity, where going to war might be seen as putting yourself in the line of danger. In one case the killer is seen as a mentally ill miscreant, in the other, the well-armed and military-fatigued killer is seen as the aggressor. You choose.
