That's a shame. I was really rooting for George Michael Bluth.

Damn, I love that writing team. Freaks & Geeks was one of my favorite TV shows as was Arrested Development. Nice call rebeckspe!

In other news . . . what the fuck is up with font size on our blog?! Did we get upgraded to a larger size because we are women of a certain age? What's next, all caps? I checked the internet settings on my computer, and all seems well on my end. Have we been hacked or something?

I think that the font size had somehow changed with CD2E's last two posts, in that it was initially microscopic.... so I'm thinking that in order to fix that, someone made the font larger so I wouldn't need to have to buy reading glasses just to read this fucking blog.

That's my working theory, at least.

:-P

Let's hope that's the case. It can therefore be fixed. I feel 20 years older every time I visit.

OK, so rebeckspe and I can't see. You must have been eating your carrots with your young eyes, DHP.

I changed the font size due to above mentioned reason, but don't like the typeface (and don't care enough to try to fix that.) I feel like there was a change from the original a few weeks ago, as I commented a while back.

I don't care what the font is, but I would like to be able to read the size.

Ah... on my last 2 posts I used the "small" font option which is still very read-able on my laptop screen and still giant our desktops. I was feeling "piggy" that I had taken up a whole page screen of random ramblings... plus it was hiding our vacation recap in a photo. =) Now everything seems crazy on all post (perhaps due to InfoChef's fixing). I am traveling non stop of the next month & a half so perhaps in a hotel with good high speed I will do some blog refreshing. It has been a while since we got a new look. I am getting kinda tired of the dots and we still haven't upgraded the template. Or maybe I will just try to actually blog once a week after some serious summer slacking!

Please, PLEASE change it back. Please. This is just awful. Maybe we just need to change to a serif font. The stuff on the side of the blog seems to read just fine and in an acceptable font. Please, I'm begging. I can't take the large type.

Oh, and also, a new "face" would be nice. That would be a welcome change.

You all obviously have too much time on your hands ;-)

Clearly. But, it is still a mess. Can we fix the font SIZE?

InfoChef said...

Go for it. I would like to have it larger, but I'm guessing your vote is for smaller. Obviously our screens have different resolutions set.

I'm not that saavy. I notice your other blog has an appropriate regular font though.

waking up this morning to the tiniest font EVAR is the best way i could think to start my day. thank you, font fairy. DHP, be careful what you wish for.

Dude, you people need glasses. This is the 10 pt font used all across the internet.

rebeckspe said...

um, no. the font that was on this a.m. at 6:33 precisely was so small that it was jltzillegible on my computer. crackhead.

it is now fixed. whatever.

I made a tweak to the template to move from "x-small" to "small" font. One thing I noticed is that it was painfully tiny on the upstairs desktop but comfortably small on the dining room desktop. I think they may be a combination of windows settings & blog settings which driving the wide range of feelings on font size. I don't have time right now to mess with it but look for a refresh sometime in the next 30 days or so.

Thanks for actually fixing it. It looks much better.

Well, it must be attack of the Font Monster bc the font on my outgoing email messages is GIANT....I can't assume it's not related to this exciting discussion, which I believe has hit a blog record for traffic.

Having received one of your outgoing messages, I will tell you that the font is giant. Like a 12 point. Huge. My on-notice mother e-mails me is 12 pt. all caps font because ostensibly, she can't read it otherwise. I e-mail her back in 8 pt. regular font just for fun. Thus, my font hysteria.

In the words of Karen Walker "Grace, tell Will to redirect his anger at his mother where it belongs."

I think we have broken some blog comment record.

If your fonts are out of control, you should be sure your virus software is up to date.

I am cracking up because 12 point is my MINIMUM font size I use and to think that that's giant proves that I MUST BE OLD, as old as your on-notice mother!

Thanks for the IT tip.
