I'm packing for my trip to DC and I just spent a half-hour trying to figure out where a certain pair of socks were. I remembered washing them today and couldn't find them anywhere. Just to be clear, I wasn't looking for them, just wondering where they were. I just found them on my feet. And, no, I'm not drunk.
Today I switched most of my incandescent lightbulbs to the eco-friendly Greenlight Energy Saver Lightbulbs. They were on sale at King Soopers. I hate them. They are very bright and very white. I much prefer my carbon-producing energy sucking traditional lightbulbs. I swear that the new ones are giving me a headache.

i agree on the light bulb thing. i had put three of those in my dining room fixture and was less than impressed with the cold blue light. i felt like i was on an episode of cold case.
And so I put good ol' incandescent back in. Now its warm and fuzzy.
They are awesome for basement socket under high traffic goofador wrestling locations where the old school bulbs lasted about a week. Also love them in our wall sockets in closets. Put there are some spaces where they just won't do.

I'm not sure what the Eco friendly bulbs are, but I love my florescents...they are warm & fuzzy. The trick is to get the ones with low temperature - less than 3000K (they're measured in Kelvin temperature - remember that from chemistry class?) I have a few of the GE Reveals, too. Much better than the old fashioned bulb.
The GE Reveal is an incandescent. Compact Florescents are the "eco-friendly" bulbs. I find them very harsh and unnatural.
