Pressing Question
The foil on wine bottles--to recycle or not?
Previously, I removed the foil and tossed into either the trash or recycling.
In an effort to simplify my terribly complicated life, I'm thinking of leaving the foil wrapping on and tossing the whole bottle, wrapper and all, into the recycling. Is this taboo?

Just like all the critics have been saying...
....Juno is a quality flick. There are endless postings about why you should go see the film so I won't argue that case here. I will warn you that there is a statement in the film that will bother Crafters. I looked it up. Based on the 12 week and 4 day time frame that Juno provides a few scenes later, it is correct. When you see the movie, you will know what I am talking about.
The soundtrack is excellent featuring The Moldy Peaches and Kimya Dawson. We saw TMP a few years ago open for someone at The Fillmore. I gotta go dig that CD out of the basement.

In another's words...
We have been using slacker radio lately for smaller functions (Having DHP & Rspe over for cocktails? Try The Shins channel) but we still have a fondness at our house for crazy party music mixes. Most everything has been imported into iTunes now including all the tunes downloaded from questionable sources during a wedding prep procrastination (drunk)evening. And no crazy party music mix is complete without a few odd ball covers. I have recently downloaded a few via iTunes to freshen up the mix: Cortez the Killer- Matthew Sweet, Ripple- Jane's Addiction, & Nightswimming- Dashboard Confessional.
Would you buy a book of the To Do list of a Florida schoolteacher who wants to lose 92 pounds to a young Mormon looking for his ideal mate? This seems a candidate for InfoChef's "Why didn't we think of that" list. to do list blog
The same person wrote quirky alone: a manifesto for uncompromising romantics. The definition of quirkyalone seems to fit with many crafters:
"Quirkyalone: noun/adj. A person who enjoys being single (but is not opposed to
being in a relationship) and generally prefers to be alone rather than dating
for the sake of being in a couple. With unique traits and an optimistic spirit;
a sensibility that transcends relationship status. See also quirkytogether,
perkytogether, quirkyslut.""Perkytogethers: Ahhh, the perkytogethers—the quirkyalone's natural opposite. While there are many people whom quirkyalones can respectfully recognize as not sharing their worldview, perkytogethers impose coupledom on everyone. They are the tyranny of coupledom."
"Quirkytogether: The state of being that results when a quirkyalone enters a long-term romantic relationship."
"Quirkyslut: One who maintains high standards for a romantic relationship, but becomes more flexible for the Saturday (or even Tuesday) night encounter."

Silver Lining
CD2E and I saw the worst movie ever, Feast of Love. It gets this review due to the fact that is was horribly clichéd without any irony, and that it is being pitched as "the season's first Oscar-worthy film". Seriously (spoiler alert), it was set in Portland, OR so of course the lead characters were 1) a college professor (black guy, as if there are actually any in Portland) and 2) the owner of a coffee house. And, the lesbian couple played softball. And the coffee house employees had tattoos and drug addictions. Good god. It would have been an emotionally draining movie had I had any emotional connection at all to the characters, which was impossible due to poor writing and the lack of irony. It straight-up sucked.
The movie that previously held the DHP worst-movie-ever title was My Best Friends Wedding. The ten year run was bound to be broken at some point.
So, the silver lining is that Feast of Love has a fantastic soundtrack, complete with local Portland alt-folk bands and Travis.
