139 ballot initiative titles have been filed for the 2006 election so this is a good year to be a political consultant. My favorite one is the “official sick day”. Now, as a purist, I don’t believe our government should be used this way, but since we are allowing people to use our constitution to ban relationships “similar to marriage”, then why the hell not “St. Hooky’s Day”?

I'm lovin it. The proponents have captured the essence of "lets amend the constitution to fit our particular frame of mind at the moment." Kudos to them.
Love it! It will give us all something to do while the courts fight out all the conflicting "similiar to marraige" bills & what trumps what.
