Cadre

(1) A nucleus of trained personnel around which a larger organization can be built and trained; (2) A tightly knit group of zealots who are active in advancing the interets of a revolutionary party.

I just received an invite to a meeting next week where Cadres are on the agenda. I am pretty sure we will be talking about definition 1. Number 2 would be more interesting.

Does Cadre rhyme with Padre? I hate words that I don't know how to pronounce, like "toile".

You can hear the correct pronounciation here:

Which led me to look up silly words, just so I could hear the guy say superduper.

That just made my whole day! I'm going to be entertained for hours.

Also, I love that superduper is classified as "slang".
